A tribute to Mahatma Gandhi30, Jan, 2013, by Seema Bhatnagar
On his death anniversary, 30th Jan, my heartfelt tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, a great man having a strength of character and immense power of personal values. A man, who gifted freedom to all Indians.
In the age of crime and violence, remembering a soul who believed in Non-Violence, sounds meaningless and utterly stupid, however, let's for a moment remind ourselves about a Man who made such a deep impression on 400 million people of his own country and million others world wide, in his lifetime, without even wielding a sword or a pen. Nowhere in history, we have seen an example of such a man.
There are hundreds of books and tons of literature written on him but to get an idea of his character it is worth
reading some of his famous quotes.
Here are some of the most famous quotes from Mahatma Gandhi.
"A 'No' uttered from the deepest conviction is better than a 'Yes' merely uttered to please, or worse, to avoid trouble." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
"The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." ~Mahatma Gandhi
"A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
"An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
"Nobody can hurt me without my permission." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
"My life is my message." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
"Be the change that you wish to see in the world." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
